Artistic License Circle Journal

This is the canvas that I made for Tigs over on UK Scrappers.
Interpreting her chosen artist Vincent Van Gogh, the picture is called 'The Harvest' and was painted by Van Gogh in 1888.
I have used Claudine Hellmuth's Sticky-back Canvas.
First printing and mounting the main picture and adding a framed smaller section of another printout. I have framed the smaller picture using Gold metal which I embossed first. To finish off I added 3 small silk sunflowers as another small homage to Van Gogh.
I hope Tigs like it!

Affirmation Postcards

Another fun challenge completed.
Over on UK Scrappers Lou has organised you can see details HERE. For inspiration Lou gave us a link to Kelly Rae Roberts. I really enjoyed making these postcards and can see myself making a lot more!

Alice in Wonderland Jigsaw swap

I am really enjoying all the swaps I am involved at the moment and the latest one is a Jigsaw puzzle swap. 9 of us have been sent a 9 piece chipboard puzzle and we have each chosen a different theme/character from Alice in Wonderland to decorate our puzzle pieces. My chosen character is The Mad Hatter. Rather than bore you with a long explanation of how I have decorated my pieces I have taken photgraphs of the process.

Painted base with cut out hats.

Painted hats and fine detail painted onto the base.
The basic kit I made up for a hat embellishment.

The puzzle pieces are being posted. One completed puzzle is going to Canada so I thought I had better give the hat a bit of reinforcement!
I did worry a bit about the size of the prototype hat, thankfully I was able to scale it down.

All the hats drying off from the Claudine Hellmuth matt medium, which will hopefully help protect it from the rigours of the post office.

All the hats and other embellishment now glued in place.
Ending up with a Jigsaw puzzle that still fits together after all that paint/spray and glue!
You may notice that the pieces dot match up at the joins but because there will be 9 different themes it does not matter and I am not that Mad as to try and get all my pieces to match!
I hope that they work well with all the other lovely pieces and that my 8 swapees like them. I am really looking forward to seeing the completed project. I will share it here when it arrives home to me. I do know that Annette has just popped her puzzle onto her blog and it is really gorgeous. You can see it HERE

Tim Holtz Sewing Room Die

I have been busy with the Tim Holtz Sewing die! I have used it for a project that I put together for our Funcrops third birthday crop and a chipboard swap that I am in on UK Scrappers. I combined the project and the challenge and I have used the 10 samples I made for the UKS swap. Hopefully my swapee's will enjoy receiving them as much as I enjoyed doing them!

Here is the finished project I made for the Funcrop.
This is the kit I put together for everyone to play with. I must thank my really lovely friend Irene who helped me design this little box. We had a fun afternoon in my craft room!
