Journal your Art CJ

Here are the latest pages I have done for the Journal your Art CJ over on UKS.

Mistyrat had chosen 'Time' as her theme, I have used the quote from the Paper Arsty set of stamps Clock 5 as my inspiration for these pages.

Sewing a fine red netting over the base page using metallic threads and using a cog made from shrink plastic and the Tim Holtz mover and shapers gears die. I also used the mover and shapes mini sewing room die to cut out the mini dress form

Journal your Art CJ

This a my double page journal pages for Vicki's "open the page" CJ.
We had to open the page of the book we were reading at the time of receiving the CJ and choose a sentence from the page a create using it.
I have been reading 'One Day' by David Nicholls and this sentence leapt off the page at me:

UKS Art journey Step 17

This week Sarah's tutorial on using and making stencils for our pages gave me the opportunity to use one of the stencils from a book I have by Ed Roth.
It was a little on the big side for the page but it gave me the opportunity to play with doodles and fit some journalling as well. The stars around the edge were made by using a cappuccino stencil!

UKS Art journey Step 16

For step 16 Vicki gave us a great tutorial on hiding your journalling or at least making it less obvious on the page.

Chunky ATC

A few months ago Kay had a BIG clear out in her craft room and was upcycling some of her wooden stamps. She challenged a group of us to make a chunky ATC, I eventually finished mine last week. Here it is to prove that it was done!

Stage 1
Lots of cogs embossed and added.

The little dolls head I found in a collectors fair a while ago and it was just a perfect fit on top of the stamp block.
I did use rather a lot of embossing powder!
