Madonians CJ that is not a CJ!

Just another leisurely little CJ that is not a CJ. We are not posting a journal around to each other for this CJ but every month posting a page direct to the person who is on a list. I did cheat a bit here, as I was posting Lou her completed Artistic License CJ I thought I would do her requested page VERY early! Lou's criterea was "silhouettes and songs", her thinking is to pick a song title or words from a song for inspiration and create a page around that, with silhouette(s) being the main design feature. As I was doing the numbers tutorial for my Art Journey journal I thought I would do Lou's page on a similar theme. The song I chose was Adele's 'First Love.'
Here are some stages to the completed page..... I got so carried away doing it there are not many photos! LOL

Artistic License Circle Journal

This is the final page for the Atistic License CJ. The months seem to have whizzed by and the journal posting ran on time and everyone has been doing some amazing work. I am really looking forward to getting my journal back very soon.
This is a page I did for Lou (UKS lou@papermaker ). She asked us to use the artist Nikki Monaghan as our inspiration. WOW she does some great work. I used the painting 'Trees on a Blue day,' I just love the colour range she achieved.
Here is my effort using paints/beads and stitching:

Numbers..... Art Journey step 9

For our Art Journey step 9 Julie Kirk returned to give us her experience of recording life in numbers. I have used a few different techniques on my page. A completely new technique to me was using Matt Medium to add embossing to a page.
Here I wanted to emboss the number 4, I drew around a chipboard shape and painted Matt Medium within the drawn lines.
Then I added embossing powder.
Carefully heated the powder!
Viola, an embossed number 4.
Embossed Chipboard.

Pit stop

This week on the UKS Art Journal Journey we have had a bit of a pit stop.
Taking a look back on the techniques we have covered so far.
I thought I would try out another method that Sarah included in her tutorial.
This method is more reliable for transferring the whole of the image and entails using multi layers of matte medium on the image before letting them dry and then placing the image in a bowl of water to help soak off the paper.

My completed page.
Black and white photo copy.

Layering up the matte medium.
Dried image.
I should have had a photo of my soaked off image here but I got carried away here and just put it on my prepared background before I thought of taking a photo! LOL

March Tag

I made the tag using the supplies that I have l already.
However, I borrowed the Die so not sure of the name.
Used a dull embossing powder as no cement and a Hero arts Large Harelquin Background stamp.
